Son of painter Manuel D'Assumpção, was born in Lisbon in May of 1956 and lives, currently, in Guimarães, after to pass its infancy and youth in Viçosa Village, in the Alentejo. Of formation autodidacta, started to paint regularly in 1980. It initiated its public activity in 1989, dedicating itself in exclusive to the painting from 1990. It is member of the Portuguese Society of Authors and the Portuguese Association of Artists, of which is presently the President. It is represented in the colecções of the Portuguese Central Bank, Pinacoteca of the Central office of Beers, António Poet Guimarães Pine and in diverse particular colecções of the Country and the Foreigner. It has workmanships in permanence in the Cheap Gallery, in Lisbon, and the Gallery Quantity d'Arte, Setúbal. Jointly with Maria Isabel D'Assumpção, it conceives tapestries in technique and point of Arraiolos, second drawing of modern composition, that are executed in exclusive only editions e.
