Live Earth Announces Official Partnership with smart
Tickets for the Hamburg leg of the 7/7/07 Concert to Combat Global Warming On Sale Thursday, May 24, 2007
STUTTGART (May 23, 2007) – Live Earth Founder Kevin Wall, DaimlerChrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche, and singer Katie Melua joined with smart’s Global Marketing and Sales Head Anders Jensen at a press conference in Stuttgart today to announce details of Live Earth’s partnership with smart, the world’s only automaker serving as an Official Partner of Live Earth. The announcement also included the artist line-up and ticketing information for Live Earth Hamburg, which will be staged at the HSH Nordbank Arena.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist figure skater Katarina Witt also attended the press conference, where it was announced that she would be speaking from the stage at Live Earth Hamburg.
The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney, Australia on July 7, 2007 and continue across all 7 continents with events in Tokyo, Japan; Shanghai, China; Johannesburg, South Africa; London, United Kingdom; Hamburg, Germany; Istanbul, Turkey; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before concluding in New York, United States. Live Earth Hamburg will feature the following acts live on stage:
CHRIS CORNELL, JAN DELAY, JULI, KATIE MELUA, LOTTO KING KARL, MANÁ, MICHAEL MITTERMEIER, REAMONN, ROGER CICERO, SASHA, SILBERMOND, SNOOP DOGG.
