Burn After Reading

This was an exceptional movie with its diverse characters and ongoing short stories within one story line. The characters
were very poignant in every way. I really liked it, there was sometimes blatant humor and unexpected aggressive action at times.
It was a movie that you don't expect upon arriving at the theatre. Brad Pitt did a smash up job in his role as a fitness instructor.
John Malkovich plays a stressed out man who quickly gets fired from his job as the movie plays on his role of him doing a memoir.
The memoir accidently falls in the hands of two unwise gym employees Brad Pitt and Frances Mc Dormand intent on exploiting their finds the movie
shows the things that happen to them along the way. It's a smart movie about crazy people with about ten extra twists added. The cast is put together
perfectly. I would say this movie is worth seeing, go enjoy its dark humor

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Starring: Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Director:
Woody Allen
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a real Woody Allen film ... he's back in full force. The location of this movie sets it up for lots of visual beauty and stimulation. Barcelona has breathless locations and carries with that real European flare. The movie begins a little slow but within 5 minutes you are carried into a story of two women staying in a relative’s home and then onto the things that they do while in Barcelona and the ventures they go on for the summer. The girls couldn't be more polar opposite but yet they are still good friends. It's not until a dark tall handsome man played by Javier Bardem that the movie really gets going when he meets and wants to have sex with both girls at once. The story moves on from there of this man a creative carefree artist and what happens with the girls he envelopes. The movie really spices up when Penelope Cruz a wild ex of Javiers shows up to his home while he is now with Scarlett Johanson and the relationship that is formed between the threesome talk about a small girl on girl shot. In any case the movie was interesting vibrant thanks to Penelope’s part and the rest of the cast were not bad either. I liked it.

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight: first and foremost can we give Heath Ledger an award for his most tremendous acting in this Batman movie. Joker was by far the most interesting character in the movie. For the hard core batman fan this movie was pleasing by the sound of the crowd clapping at the end of it. I for one was or am not a hard core fan other then Heath Ledger. I found this movie pretty basic and easy to read as to where it was going which for me caused for a bit of boredom. There was a twist about a large player in the movie who gets killed off that you don't expect. The characters other then Heath were mainstream and stayed in usual character not adding much dimension. The story line had been done so many times again proving that they need some fresh writer's. I got real restless with the story and found that the length of the movie was a bit long for my taste I was wiggling in my seat. Koodos to those that liked it I'd give it a 6, 10 being the best, it wasn't bad.

Tropic Thunder: Hey now this movie was a surprise! Some crude but downright funny jokes..Once you’re on bored for the gross sometimes overly male humor you'll laugh your head off. The team of guys in this film combined to make for a great group of players. As one of the movie moguls it takes time to recognize that it's actually Tom Cruise he does a stunning job as an unrecognizable funny part in the movie. Jack Black plays a hilarious role showing off his true talent. Another great character is Robert Downey Jr. he plays his role in the movie well. He plays a couple characters transforming smoothly into both. There's enough action and a story line to keep your interest making the movie fly by with interest and laughs. I left the theatre with a smile and I believe you will too if you go see Tropic Thunder.
