The 4,000 square foot gallery will showcase, A Mosaic Metamorphosis: transforming art, into great mosaic works of art through the collaborations with each individual artist.

New York City based artists Allison Goldenstein & Lesley Provenzano of Mixed-Up Mosaics are known for their individual style and an extensive color palate of glass shards. The duo have designed mosaic settings for hotels, casinos, restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, homes and TV shows throughout the world. Their artwork can be seen anywhere from Mohegan Sun Casino to the TV show Sex &the City. Their mosaic art is everywhere and their signature style has been recognized across the globe.
Charles Fazzino- is the most popular 3-D artist in the world today. As the creator of limited edition fine art silkscreen serigraphs, he is best known for his obsession for bright colors and wonderful detail, the frenetic energy that infuses his work, and a unique hand assembled 3-D layering technique that brings his images to life.
Marco of Marco Art- blends classic Pop with Keith Haringesque joie de vivre and his work has turned up on everyone and everything, from conventional canvases and prints, to mouse pads, high-fashion mannequins in GQ, duvet covers, even boxer shorts.
Michael Albert-creates Pop Art collages of a selection of such classics as Juicyfruits, Bit-O-Honey, Good &Plenty &York Peppermint Patty and some classic nostalgic brands like Cracker Jack, Mr. Bubble &Barnum's Animal Crackers! These original artworks, which he calls the “Sweet Suite”, which were created by Albert over the past 7 years starting with a collage 'portrait' of a Frosted Flakes box he created in 1996.
Michael Perez- has quickly become one of the hottest Modern Pop artists today. Always on the cutting edge, his art is extremely dynamic and is distinguished by his use of contrasting colors and shapes. His innovative artwork is most immediately recognized by his distinctive unique faces and figures.
Nelson Carse-is the artist behind Team Go, which he started in 1974, by writing graffiti in the NYC subways. He has been creating and custom designing graffiti art for 30 years for the likes of the Beastie Boys and Bob Dylan.
Joshua Everett-is the king of custom painted surfboards and has been surfing and painting for 20 years. This exhibition will feature a mélange of his intricate and colorful paintings which he will use 6 and 9 foot boards to express his artwork in his wild palate of colors and designs.

Inside Design Now: National Design Triennial

Inside Design Now: National Design Triennial
takes the pulse of American design in the new millennium, providing a fascinating tour of cutting-edge trends in architecture, interiors, landscape, fashion, graphics, and new media. Featuring eighty emerging and established designers – including 2 x 4, Mike Mills, Peter Eisenman, Fuse Project, Tod Machover, Paula Scher, Jennifer Siegal, and Isaac Mizrahi – Inside Design Now illustrates the most innovative and provocative thinking in design today. Each designer’s work is presented with a double-page spread and a series of full-color images. Essays explore the role of the designer in today’s culture, contemporary ideas of beauty and functionality, and what the future holds in the realm of design. Sensuous materials, lush patterns, and exquisite details come together with new technologies, pop imagery, and fresh approaches to scale, color, and construction in the works reproduced in this volume. Inside Design Now accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Cooper Hewitt Museum of National Design beginning in April 2003.

New Hotels for Global Nomads
by Donald Albrecht, Elizabeth Johnson Johnson, Cooper-Hewitt Museum

New Hotels for Global Nomads
A provocative exhibition that spotlights contemporary hotels as the crossroads of our connected yet nomadic society and underscores their role in cutting-edge architecture and design.
The modern hotel not only offers a place to sleep, but, through its design, amenities and sense of theater, it also provides its guests with the ultimate escapist experience.
Examining over thirty real and conceptual examples, and complemented by an authoritative text and stunning photography, this book provides a compelling answer to the question, "What is the purpose of the modern hotel?" From The Venetian in Las Vegas, an outstanding example of the gambling capital's new generation of scenographic hotels, to the sail-shaped, "seven-star" Burj-al-Arab fantasy in Dubai, the designs are fully explored.
